Hyundai is crossing a lot of lines with its new Genesis Coupe. A rear-wheel-drive performance car, it’s being compared to some muscle cars – yet it lacks the heritage and the square shoulders of a Dodge Challenger or Ford Mustang. With sweeping curves and a low stance, it’s being compared to the Infiniti G37 coupe – yet its sub -$30,000 price tag makes it far more affordable than any luxury machine. No one’s exactly sure what the Genesis Coupe is. But the automotive press has begun to drive Hyundai’s newest car, and a consensus seems to be emerging – the car has flaws, but whatever it is, it’s a lot of fun for the money.
