Im a current owner of a mazdaspeed3 and i love the car.. wouldn't trade it in for anything. Now for all the ppl hating on it for a being a fwd, race one from a 20 roll or take your rwd in the snow. the genesis is a beautiful car and i'd definately consider one. the mazdaspeed is a better choice imo for a daily driver!

The first MS3 was the one to beat in this segment. The new one certainly is good, but why no HIDs on the new model? While the GC may not have Navi available on the Track model, it is better equipped IMO, along with RWD :)

I've never really been a Mazda fan but the MS3 does have a good value/hp ratio. I don't really know anyone though that would want a hatchback over a really sleek and sexy coupe like the Genesis!

Hot or not, the MazdaSpeed is still front wheel drive. I'd pick the Genesis Coupe any day over the ms3

I dunno, I like the MS3. Hatchbacks are pretty hot, and the whole sport compact scene started with "hot hatches". The fact that a turbo four is able to keep up with a V6 is pretty impressive, and you can't beat the practicality of a hatch for a daily driver.

So, it's a question of a butt-ugly FF hatchback versus a beautiful, striking RWD sports car. The minimal differences in performance aren't enough for me to side with the Mazda. The 3Speed NEEDS to be turboed in order to keep up with this stock V6, and that alone says a lot. Slightly better performance can't make up for atrocious looks of this wannabe. I'll stick with my lovely Interlagos Yellow 3.8, spank you very much.
