<p><a href="http://www.beyondredline.com/" target="_blank">Beyond Redline</a> has brought the bar up again with the introduction of their prototype turbo kit for the 2.0T Genesis Coupe. While definate details are not yet available &#8211; they do claim their kits will fit all medium frame ball bearing turbochargers, from the GT28R to the GT35R. Click &#8220;Read more&#8221; to see the photos and video that we have mirrored here. If reports are as promising as their initial testings, 400whp with a GT30R turbocharger is very attainable, and should provide for a boatload of fun.</p>

<p><a href="http://www.beyondredline.com/" target="_blank">Beyond Redline</a> wastes no time at all &#8211; shortly after taking apart the engine to examine it, then taking apart the turbo to poke around, now they have bolted a new Garrett GT3076 turbo on with 600cc injectors and done a little tuning of the car with a AEM FIC. The end result is a blistering 344whp, though 400whp should be no problem for this turbocharger. Congratulations, we&#8217;re happy to see the progress on the Genesis Coupe 2.0T! <p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>Earlier this week we took apart the stock turbocharger assembly and in the process completely destroyed most of our stock fasteners. We ordered new hardware but while our stock turbo was at the machine shop having everything drilled out and and re-tapped we decideded to see what we had on the shelf. After all we couldn&#8217;t put development on hold for many of our new products. Low and behold we found a brand new GT3076 turbo! Although I can&#8217;t really explain how we mounted it yet (prototype products and I don&#8217;t want to say anything until we finalize design) lets just say once its done you will be as excited as we are. Another point to note, our prototype exhaust system is out being prepared for production, so this is through the stock cat-back exhaust system!</em></p>

<p>Buschur Raching has their 2.0T Track in their hands now. It&#8217;s nice to see that big name tuners are getting into the Genesis Coupe with this kind of enthusiasm. As soon as they got the car, they posted up some nice pictures in <a href="http://genesisforums.org/buschur-racing-inc/3499-buschur-racing-coupe-has-entered-building.html" target="_blank">this thread</a> on <a href="http://genesisforums.org/" target="_blank">GenesisForums</a>, then <a href="http://genesisforums.org/buschur-racing-inc/3561-buschur-racing-begins-r-d-work-deuce-coupe.html" target="_blank">moved onto the dyno</a> and started testing boost controllers with a very mild gain before the computer started to complain and shut the car into limp mode. Next was onto the intake system where they already had a neat looking system with a carbon fiber heat shield, but then they moved onto more and ripped out the intercooler to take some measurements. Good work! <p style="padding-left: 30px;"><em>When looking at the graph you will see that the max numbers achieved were only 7whp and 22ft. trq greater than stock but when you start to dissect the graph a bit more you start to see larger gains in there. Such as at 3100 on up to 3700 there were gains in there as much as 22whp and 33ft trq. </em></p>

<p>I don&#8217;t know where this build orginated from (Sources say Autz in Korea, but I can&#8217;t find anything about them) but I&#8217;m seeing threads for it made on a bunch of websites like <a href="http://www.gencoupe.com/engine/11592-503-85-ps-3-8-turbo.html" target="_blank">GenCoupe</a> and <a href="http://www.lowmotion.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&amp;t=146544" target="_blank">LowMotion</a> - what we have here is another member with the V6 model with an aftermarket turbo bolted on. This particular one has a rebuilt engine with forged internals to be able to make a very healthy 504PS (496HP) to the wheels. <p>ECU reflahes have been out for the cars over in the Asian markets, but now that the cars have hit US soil it suddenly becomes more interesting. Attatched is a picture of a dyno tune that was done to a 2.0T Genesis Coupe that was otherwise stock. It showed a healthy gain of around 35PS, which <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Horsepower#PS" target="_blank">for arguments sake</a> is very close to 35HP at the wheels. It&#8217;s actually around 34.5HP, but lets keep it simple; the bottom line is that you can still see a healty increase from just a reflash. Hyundai says its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder generates 210 hp and 223 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel, and like most factory ratings for turbo cars, those numbers are a bit on the conservative side.</em></p>
